Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. Guest-Initiated Cancellations
-
Standard Window: You may reschedule your booking at no additional cost if the request is made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled experience.
-
Late Rescheduling, Cancellations & No-Shows: Requests made within 24 hours of the event start time are considered "No-Shows." Because we have prepared for your visit, these bookings are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
2. Late Arrivals
Astro-tourism is unique because it's dark. If a guest arrives 30 minutes late, they might be walking into a dark field where telescopes are already active, which is a safety risk and disrupts the "night vision" of other guests.
Late Arrivals: Experiences begin promptly at the scheduled time. To protect the night vision and safety of all guests, arrivals more than 15 minutes late will be considered a no-show and will not be admitted or refunded.
3. Weather & The "Cloudy Night" Protocol
Astronomy is dependent on the atmosphere. We monitor conditions (cloud cover, wind, and transparency) up to the hour of the event.
-
The "Educational Cosmic Journey" : If cloud cover exceeds 60% but conditions are safe, we will transition to our educational program (digital star tours, deep-space presentations, and equipment workshops) .
-
Full Cancellation (Safety): If we cancel the event entirely due to rain, lightning, or high winds, you will receive a 100% Horizon Credit valid for 12 months.
4. Short-Term Visitor Protection
We recognize that travelers may only be in the region for a limited time. If a session is cancelled or transitioned to the Educational Journey and you are departing the region within 24 hours, a full refund will be issued upon digital proof of travel (e.g., flight itinerary or hotel checkout).
5. Technical Failure
In the rare event of a significant mechanical or equipment failure that prevents the experience from proceeding, guests will be offered priority rescheduling and full refunds for Short Term Visitors subject to the short-term visitor policy.
6. Conduct-Related Removals
No refunds or credits will be issued to any individual removed from the experience for violating our Safety Protocols, Equipment Stewardship rules, or Code of Conduct (including intoxication or aggressive behavior).
7. Return Processing Fee
All refunds are subject to a small processing fee (typically 3-5%) to cover non-refundable transaction costs.
8. No Guarantee of Visibility
While we use professional-grade equipment and forecasting, Event Horizon Experiences cannot and does not guarantee the visibility of any specific celestial object.
Atmospheric Conditions: Visibility is subject to "seeing" conditions, transparency, humidity, and light pollution.
-
Celestial Events: Events such as meteor showers, planetary alignments, or eclipses are natural occurrences. We are not liable if these events are obscured by clouds, haze, or smoke.
-
The "Moon" Factor: Natural moonlight (especially near a Full Moon) can significantly reduce the visibility of deep-sky objects like nebulae and galaxies. Such conditions are a natural part of the lunar cycle and do not qualify for refunds or rescheduling.
Above mentioned are not grounds for a refund.
