Cancellation Policy

By booking an experience with Event Horizon Experiences, you agree to the following terms focused on safety, equipment care, and the nature of the night sky. 1. Safety & Equipment Protocol Solar Safety: Never look at the sun without our provided filters. Use of personal, unapproved optical equipment is strictly prohibited. Dark Adaptation: To protect night vision, no white light (flashlights, phone screens, or flashes) is allowed in the observation zone. Red-light only. Hands-Off Policy: Our telescopes are precision instruments. Do not touch lenses, mirrors, or eyepieces. Guests are financially responsible for damage caused by negligence or horseplay. Environment: You are entering a dark, uneven outdoor environment. Sturdy, closed-toe footwear and warm layers are required. 2. Cancellations & Late Arrivals The 24-Hour Rule: You may reschedule at no cost up to 24 hours before your event. Within 24 hours, bookings are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Prompt Start: To protect the safety and night vision of all guests, arrivals more than 15 minutes late will be treated as a no-show without a refund. Minimum Capacity: Lunar and Cosmic experiences require a minimum of 5 guests. If the threshold isn't met 4 hours prior, you will be automatically rescheduled. 3. Weather & Visibility The "Cloudy Night" Protocol: If cloud cover exceeds 60%, we transition to an Educational Journey (digital presentation). Full Cancellation: If we cancel due to dangerous weather (lightning/high winds), you receive a 100% credit. Short-term visitors departing within 24 hours are eligible for a full refund with proof of travel. Visibility: We cannot guarantee specific celestial objects. Natural factors like moonlight, haze, or atmospheric "seeing" are not grounds for refunds. 4. Code of Conduct We maintain a family-friendly environment. Intoxication, vulgarity, or failure to follow guide instructions will result in immediate removal without a refund. 5. Exclusive Bahamian (BAH) rate Please be advised that the Bahamian (BAH) rate is reserved exclusively for residents ONLY. A valid Government-issued ID (NIB Card, Driver’s License, or Passport) will be required for verification at the gate. If a valid Bahamian ID cannot be provided, the standard international rate will apply, and the difference must be settled prior to entry.
